ICC World Cup 2023 South Africa Team Anrich Nortje And Sisanda Magala Ruled Out

Anrich Nortje Sisanda Magala Ruled Out: Teams around the world are preparing for the ODI World Cup to be held in India from October 5, but players of many teams are getting injured. Meanwhile, South Africa has suffered a double blow. Injured fast bowlers Anrich Nortje and Sisanda Magala have been ruled out of the tournament to be held in India. South Africa head coach Rob Walter confirmed this on Thursday. Bowling all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo and fast bowler Lizaad Williams have been included in the team in their place.

“It is very disappointing for Enrique and Sisanda not to play the World Cup,” Walter said. Both players are important for the team. According to the information, Nortje has suffered a lower back injury. He suffered back cramps during the second ODI against Australia. After this he was taken for scanning. On the other hand, Magala is injured in his left knee. Both Nortje and Magala were part of the preliminary 15-man squad announced by South Africa. Nortje’s injury will be a big blow to the team.

He is currently one of the fastest bowlers in the world. He has experience of playing in India. In such a situation, he can play a big role in the bowling attack of the team. The South African team is scheduled to leave for India on Saturday. Andil and Lizad have performed brilliantly for some time now. Andile Phehlukwayo starred with the bat in the final ODI against Australia. He scored 38 runs in 19 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes. South Africa’s first match will be against Sri Lanka in Delhi on 7 October.
