A 5-match T20 series is being played between India and Australia. India has won 2 matches so far and Australia has won one match. India has to play a series of three ODIs, three T20s and four Test matches against South Africa. The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour of South Africa.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can announce the Indian team today. It is expected that Team India will select its strong team for the South Africa tour. The Indian cricket team will play three T20, three ODI and four Test matches against Australia. The Indian team will leave for South Africa from Bengaluru on 6 December. This journey will start from 10th December.

The senior selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will select four teams for the tour of the Rainbow Nation. This includes India A, India T20 team, India ODI team and India Test team. Virat Kohli has already informed the Indian board that he will not be available for the ODI and T20I series on this tour but will play the two-Test series in Centurion and Cape Town from December 26.

The Indian board had already applied for visas for 45 Indian players for the South Africa tour to ensure that the players reach there as per the schedule.

Meanwhile, Team India’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar met head coach Rahul Dravid in Bengaluru and discussed the further roadmap. The BCCI on Wednesday extended the tenure of Dravid Paras Mhambrey (bowling coach), Vikram Rathore (batting coach) and fielding coach T Dilip.

In the context of the World Test Championship, there will be more focus on the Test team. The selectors will be seen placing more emphasis on the Test team on this tour. India would like to field its strongest Test team for the Test series. Let us tell you that the Indian team has not won a single test series in South Africa till date. In such a situation, Team India’s batting will be very important. If India wins this match, it will be its third consecutive World Cup final.
