Afghanistan has appointed Dwayne Bravo as its bowling consultant for the T20 World Cup: Former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been included in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2017 T20 World Cup. A press release announced that the Afghanistan Cricket Board had selected him as the team’s bowling guru. Bravo will join the team during practice for this important event in the United States and the Caribbean.

Right-arm medium pace bowler Dwayne Bravo has played 295 international matches across all three formats, taking 363 wickets and scoring 6423 runs. He is a Bravo T20 champion and has won the T20 World Cup twice for the West Indies, as well as titles in T20 leagues around the world.

The Afghanistan cricket team will begin its campaign in the 2018 T20 World Cup on June 3 against Uganda. Afghanistan’s final Group C matches will be against New Zealand on June 7, Papua New Guinea on June 13 and West Indies on June 17. Under the supervision of Rashid Khan, Afghanistan players will face strong opponents like West Indies and New Zealand.
