CWC 2023: Bangladesh head coach warns Team India, says ‘there will be ups and downs in the World Cup’

Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha said that his team should take inspiration from the defeat in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The 17th match of the tournament between India and Bangladesh will be played on Thursday at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Afghanistan and Netherlands have revived the World Cup 2023 after defeating England and South Africa respectively. Bangladesh will have a golden opportunity to join this list when they face Team India.

Bangladesh defeated India in the 2007 World Cup. However, they have faced defeats in the next three World Cup matches. Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha said, “The World Cup has opened up a lot because of the ups and downs of the last week. We are all inspired by this. We have six matches. We believe we can win. This is the motivation and inspiration for the match against India.

He said, “We have had success against India recently, but the World Cup is different. We hope to do our best. The Indian team is in form at the moment and we will try to play as per our ability.

He said, “I can tell my team to give their 100 percent and give their best. Besides, I have no control over the outcome. If we play to our potential then I think we can beat any team.

Chandika Hathurusingha indicated that changes are possible in Bangladesh’s playing 11. He said, “Against India we have planned a different combination. It will depend on the pitch and opposition. You may need an additional bowling option. The pitch will be good. India has a very strong batting order. We are thinking about it’.
