CWC 2023: Netherlands head coach praises Indian team before final league match

The final league match of ICC ODI World Cup 2023 (CWC 2023) will be played today i.e. between India and Netherlands (IND vs NED). On November 12 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Before the match, Dutch head coach Ryan Cook praised the performance of the Indian team and expressed his eagerness to play against them. He said, “India played very well in the tournament.

The Netherlands team was already out of the semi-finals and will now look to finish the tournament with some good performances. They are placed 10th in the points table with 4 points from 6 losses and 2 wins from eight matches. However, one of the Dutch team’s two wins against a strong team like South Africa will be memorable for them.

In the pre-match press conference on Saturday, Ryan Cook described India as a great team and said that they have some tremendous players. They said,

We certainly appreciate it. I think they have played some incredible cricket in the tournament, obviously won all their matches, and played some impressive cricket as well. That’s why you can see them on top of the points table. They have high level players. They look very well organized and are definitely the favorites for the tournament. That is why they are appreciated.

However, the Netherlands head coach described the match against India as a good opportunity for the team to test their skills! Cook said: We are definitely looking forward to the match. It will be a great occasion on Diwali at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Obviously, there’s a lot of excitement about this for our team. And yes, really looking forward to testing my skills against the table toppers.

The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, is unbeaten so far in the tournament and has won all its eight league matches. The team will now be eyeing its ninth consecutive win. In such a situation, it will not be easy for Netherlands to play against the Indian team which is running in great rhythm.
