Rohit Sharma shows muscles to Marais Erasmus

CWC 2023: Rohit Sharma told the umpire the real reason for showing off

The 12th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 was played between India and Pakistan (IND vs PAK) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Indian captain Rohit Sharma played a shot against Pakistan’s Haris Rauf in the second ODI. After the match, he told Hardik Pandya the real reason behind this.

A funny thing happened during the game. Haris Rauf bowled the ninth over of the Indian innings. Rohit hit two sixes in his innings. The fifth ball was hit over cover for a huge six, which was 90 meters long. After hitting the six, there was some conversation between Rohit and umpire Erasmus. After this, the Indian captain was seen showing his dole to them and both of them were also smiling.

After the match, Hardik Pandya asked Rohit the reason behind it and said, “What was that celebration of leaving the match?” The Hitman replied, “Nothing, they were asking me how do you hit such a long six. Is there something in your bat? Then I said, ‘It’s not the bat, it’s power.’

The Indian captain was at his aggressive best in the match. The right-handed batsman scored 86 runs in 63 balls with the help of six sixes and as many fours. The role of the hitman was very important in the team’s victory. This was India’s third consecutive win in the tournament and they now top the points table.

Rohit Sharma became the first Indian batsman to hit 300 sixes in ODI cricket. He recently broke Chris Gayle’s record of hitting most sixes in international cricket. The 36-year-old batsman has hit 562 sixes so far.
