CWC 2023: Rohit Sharma will bowl first against Pakistan in the World Cup

The World Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Pakistan had invited India to bat first. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. As soon as Rohit came to bowling first, he distinguished himself as a captain among the captains who captained India against Pakistan in the ODI World Cup.

Rohit Sharma has become the first Indian captain to bowl after winning the toss against Pakistan in the World Cup. Earlier, the Indian captain won the toss and decided to bat first. However, Rohit has now proved himself unique in this regard.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl, the Indian captain said that the pitch was very good and there would not be too many changes. Dew can play a big role at night, so we have taken the bowling into consideration.

Let us tell you that before the match to be held in Ahmedabad, there have been 7 World Cup matches between India and Pakistan and out of these, the Indian captain has won the toss 5 times. Mohammad Azharuddin was the captain in the 1992, 1996 and 1999 World Cups and won the toss and elected to bat in all three matches. MS Dhoni did this in the 2011 and 2015 World Cups.

It now remains to be seen whether Rohit Sharma can maintain India’s record of winning all matches against Pakistan in the ODI World Cup with his different decision in Ahmedabad.
