Hasan Ali has been dismissed from Pakistan cricket team. The team is currently on a tour of England to prepare for the T20 World Cup starting from June 2 and will be followed by a four-match T20 series starting from May 22. Both the teams have selected their important players for the series. Seeing the importance of the series, some English players left IPL 2024 midway and returned. At the same time, before the start of the series, Pakistan took the unexpected decision of removing its main fast bowler Hasan Ali from the lineup.

Hasan Ali was part of the squad as an injured replacement

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced in a media release that Hasan Ali has been released from the Pakistani squad selected for the T20 series against England. This right-arm fast bowler can currently be seen playing county cricket in England. Hasan was earlier named as injury cover for fast bowler Haris Rauf, who suffered a shoulder injury during the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League, but is now fit.

The PCB had already said that the World Cup squad would be decided during the series against England and Hasan Ali’s release indicates that he may not be part of the plans. Hasan last played the third T20 match for Pakistan on the Ireland tour, where he did not take a single wicket and scored 42 runs in three overs.

At the same time, Haris Rauf’s performance has been under suspicion for a long time. He was badly beaten during the ODI World Cup 2023 last year. At the same time, his performance in the PSL was not very impressive. However, the Pakistan team would be hoping that Rauf regains his form during the England series so that he can perform well in the T20 World Cup. Let us tell you that Rauf has played 66 T20 matches for Pakistan and has taken 90 wickets.
