But before this match, there has been a big change in the Netherlands team. The Netherlands team is already out of the race for the semi-finals.

Changes in Netherlands team

There has been a reshuffle in the Netherlands team before the match against India. Netherlands have withdrawn 15 players from the team due to a back injury to fast bowler Ryan Clyne. In his place, young Noah Cross has got a chance in the team for the final match. The change was approved by the tournament event technical committee on Thursday, meaning Cross can play against unbeaten India in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Cross has played only one ODI for his country. He played in the final of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier against Sri Lanka in July. The 23-year-old then managed to score just seven runs. On the other hand, injured player Ryan Kleine has played only one match for the Netherlands in the tournament. He played the match against New Zealand in Hyderabad and could not take any wicket in 7 overs.

out of the semi-final race

Netherlands is out of the race for the semi-finals. They are currently placed 10th in the points table with 4 points. The match against India may not be important for the Netherlands in terms of the World Cup, but achieving Champions Trophy qualification is very important. They need a big win against India to qualify for the Champions Trophy. Because their run rate is very bad compared to other teams. Apart from this, the Netherlands team would like any 2 teams of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and England to lose their last match. In this case, the team will finish 7th or 8th with 6 points and qualify. If they lose, the team will be out of the Champions Trophy.
