Zimbabwe’s Ryan Burl achieved this feat in 2022. The 29-year-old equaled former Sri Lankan fast bowler Chaminda Vaas for the fastest five-wicket haul in ODIs, achieving the feat in just 16 balls. Vaas had achieved this feat against Bangladesh in 2003.

Siraj became the first Indian bowler to take 4 wickets in an over. While making this record, Siraj also took the sixth wicket. He took the sixth wicket by dismissing Kusal Mendis in the 12th over.

Siraj became the first bowler in the history of Asia Cup to take a hat-trick in ODIs. He set the record for the best bowling figures in an innings in the Asia Cup. He took 6 wickets for 7 runs in 5.2 overs. In this matter, he broke the record of Ajanta Mendis, who had made the record of best bowling against India in Karachi 15 years ago.
