Stale food in Bengaluru: The 62nd match of IPL 2024 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals, regarding which controversy has arisen. A supporter claimed that he was served stale food during the program on May 12. An FIR has been registered against the management of Karnataka State Cricket Association regarding this. Fan Chaitanya, 23, lodged a complaint against the KSCA management and the canteen manager at the Cubbon Park police station. RCB won this match by 47 runs.

Chaitanya had come with a friend to watch the game at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Both of them watched the match from the Qatar Airways Fans Terrace stand. According to the complaint, Chaitanya took ghee, rice, chana masala, idli, cutlet, raita and dry jamun from the stand restaurant during the match. Immediately after consuming it, he started having stomach problems.

Subsequently, he became unconscious while sitting and was given first aid by stadium staff in an ambulance outside the stadium. Chaitanya was then admitted to a private hospital, where the doctor diagnosed him with food poisoning. Chaitanya claims that his health deteriorated only after eating the canteen items.

In IPL 2024, RCB defeated Delhi Capitals and won for the sixth consecutive time.

In this match between the two teams, RCB batted first and scored 187/9 runs. Later, RCB bowlers gave a strong performance and bowled out DC for 140 runs in 19.1 overs. With this win, RCB remains in the race for a place in the playoffs.

However, to increase his net run rate, he must first get a decisive win against Chennai Super Kings in his final league match. Besides, he will also have to wait for the results of other teams. There is also a possibility of rain in the match and if it is canceled then RCB will be out.
