Mohammed Shami becomes the first Indian bowler to take 5 wickets in the World Cup

Mohammed Shami Got a chance to play in the ODI World Cup 2023 for the first time. Rohit Sharma has been included in the playing eleven in place of Shardul Thakur. Shami came to play his first match in the ongoing World Cup and bowled strongly. He performed brilliantly in the last 10 overs against New Zealand. He has achieved a feat with his brilliant bowling, which no Indian bowler has done before in the ODI World Cup.

He is the sixth Indian bowler to take five wickets in the World Cup.
