Virat Kohli on defeat in IPL and T20 World Cup: IPL veteran Royal Challengers Bangalore player Virat Kohli has expressed regret over two important incidents that happened in 2016. He confessed that his heart got broken twice this year. First when Team India failed to win the T20 World Cup and second when RCB lost in the final.

Actually, in 2016, India hosted the T20 World Cup. The Indian team performed well in the tournament but lost in the semi-finals. Despite scoring tremendous runs against West Indies, Team India lost the match, which shattered India’s dream of capturing the World Cup trophy. At that time Virat Kohli was the captain of the Indian team and his performance was also commendable. However, due to poor bowling and fielding the team lost in the semi-finals.

Moreover, RCB is on course to reach the IPL Championship in 2026. Virat Kohli performed brilliantly, scoring more than 900 runs and many centuries. However, the team lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final, due to which RCB’s dream of winning the trophy again was shattered.

Virat Kohli expressed grief over failure in World T20

Virat Kohli has reacted strongly to both these incidents. During a conversation about Jio Cinema he said:

I experienced two heartbreaking situations in 2016. First our defeat in the T20 World Cup, then our defeat in the IPL final. It took me a few days to recover from the World T20 defeat because I was in a good position to win the trophy for India.
