ODI World Cup 2023: These days the Pakistan cricket team is busy in the 2023 World Cup and the condition of the team is also very bad in this tournament. The Babar Azam-led team is on the verge of making it to the semi-finals of the World Cup. Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in a dilemma. PCB chief Zaka Ashraf has been accused of corruption. Now a member of the PCB management committee has said a big thing about Zaka Ashraf.

According to ESPNcricinfo, PCB’s management committee member Zulfiqar Malik made the allegations against Zaka Ashraf and the management committee in an email. A copy of the email was also sent by Malik to the Prime Minister’s Office as well as Pakistan’s Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Ministry.

In the email, Malik wrote, the wrongdoing has been done for some time without consultation or approval of the majority of members. I have witnessed some grave mistakes and unconstitutional decisions by the management which I would like to bring on record to absolve myself of those unconstitutional decisions and wrong actions which have taken place over a period without consultation or approval of the majority of the members. The PCB chief has not limited himself to day-to-day matters and has taken many wrong decisions.

Responding to Malik’s allegations, the PCB said, “Every decision is taken as per the Constitution. According to ESPNcricinfo, the PCB said in its response, “Every decision is taken as per the Constitution. All decisions have been taken to ensure that the day-to-day functioning of the PCB continues without any burden. The tenure of PCB chief Zaka Ashraf is set to end on November 5.

On one hand, Pakistan team is playing in a big tournament like World Cup and on the other hand, all this is going on across the board. Sometimes it has a bad effect on the players and they are not able to perform properly. When board members keep fighting among themselves, how will the team be able to perform well? Pakistan team has so far won only 3 out of 7 matches in the World Cup 2023.
