Pakistani bowler who has qualified for the World Cup undergoes shoulder surgery.

Pakistan’s young fast bowler Naseem Shah had a shoulder problem during the Asia Cup 2023 and due to this he was ruled out of the World Cup 2023 as well. On October 4, Naseem gave an update about his injury and he told fans that his surgery was successful and he is recovering.

Naseem Shah suffered a shoulder injury during India’s Super-4 match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup last month and went off the field. After that he did not come to bat. This was when speculations started rife that the right-arm fast bowler could be ruled out of the World Cup and later that is what happened.

After his surgery, the Pakistani bowler uploaded a video on Twitter and in the tweet talked about his recovery and the support he received during this time. they wrote,

Alhamdulillah, I am recovering. Your prayers and good wishes have been my strength. Thank you for all your support.

Naseem Shah has been playing an important role in Pakistan’s bowling attack for quite some time. However, his departure led to the return of the experienced Hasan Ali. Captain Babar Azam will have the option of supporting Hasan and Mohammad Wasim with Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf in the fast bowling department.

In their two practice matches before the World Cup, Pakistani bowling looked normal and the opposition teams scored more than 300 runs in both the matches against them. In such a situation, Captain Babar will definitely be a little worried about the bowling. Pakistan will start its campaign in the tournament on October 6 against Netherlands.
