Earlier in the day, Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) paid a special tribute to Sachin Tendulkar. A bronze statue of Master Blaster has been installed in Wankhede. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated this facility. Sachin’s favorite shot ‘Straight Lofted Drive’ was unveiled by CM Shinde.

Sachin Tendulkar shared an emotional post on Twitter.
Sachin’s reaction has come to light on the special congratulations received by MCA. He shared this news through an Instagram post. Sharing an old picture, the veteran player wrote, “This picture has a special place in my heart. From a 10-year-old boy entering the North Stand with only 24 tickets for 25 fans to my statue being unveiled at the iconic Wankhede, life there has truly changed. I still remember our joyful chants, the camaraderie of the group and their tremendous support.

To think that I first stepped into Wankhede as a cricket lover. He then became a ball boy in the 1987 World Cup, won the 2011 World Cup and played his last international match here.

He said, “This is a journey which cannot be described in words. It’s not just about me. Dedication to all the non-strikers, my cricket heroes, all the teammates, all the colleagues who stood with me. Without them this journey would have remained incomplete. Wankhede Stadium and cricket, you have always been kind to me.
