Ahmednagar artist Pramod Kamble is working on the statue of Sachin Tendulkar. “MCA had said that the statue will be installed at Wankhede Stadium. The day after its announcement I was called to work on it. Then I contacted Sachin Tendulkar and met him.

He said, “We discussed this at length. I asked him how the statue should be made. After this we finalized the pose in which he is seen hitting a six. We made a small model first. After this we have now made a 14 feet high statue. With a graphic combination of a world map and a cricket ball, we have created a globe and Sachin Tendulkar has been symbolically depicted on top of it. We are also doing a panel which will be about his career.
