The countdown to the start of the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup has begun, and all teams will get the opportunity to play a number of warm-up matches to prepare. The ICC on Thursday confirmed the schedule of all practice matches ahead of the T20 World Cup, which will take place between May 27 and June 1. The Indian team will begin its campaign against Ireland in the competition on June 5. Will also play a practice match against Bangladesh on June 1. This will be the team’s only practice match.

The Indian team is in Group A of the event along with hosts United States, Ireland, Pakistan and Canada. At the same time, Bangladesh team is in Group D, which includes South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal.

The International Cricket Council has announced that all practice matches will take place in the United States and Trinidad and Tobago. At the same time, Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago will host 16 practice matches ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. 20 teams will participate in the competition. Although only 17 will compete in practice matches, the South African team will play intra-squad matches in Florida on 29 May.

Let us tell you that all these practice matches will be of 20 overs and will not have any international status. At the same time, each side will be allowed to field all 15 players.
