Most of the countries have announced their squads for the T20 World Cup starting in June, but Pakistan has not announced the squad. Pakistan had announced an 18-member squad for the T20 series to be played against Ireland and England. Out of which 3 players will be eliminated. Of these, 15 players will be selected for the World Cup. Now some names have emerged as to which three players out of these 18 will be out or will be kept in reserve.

Haris Rauf is on his way to comeback

According to Cricket Pakistan report, Pakistan’s star bowler Harris Rauf is recovering from injury. There is every possibility of him getting a place in the main team. Whereas Hasan Ali did not perform as expected against Ireland. In such a situation, he can be included in the reserve. All-rounder Agha Salman can also be kept in reserve. Along with this, either Irfan Khan Niazi or Usman Khan can go as travel reserve.

Announcement may be made on May 22

Pakistan will have to inform ICC about 15 players from the 18-member squad. For this, the deadline of May 24 has been fixed. It is expected that an announcement can be made before the first T20 against England in Leeds on May 22. Pakistan team has been placed in Group A along with India, Canada, America and Ireland. Pakistan’s first match will be against America on June 6. After this they will face India on June 9. The next two matches will be against Canada on June 11 and then against Ireland on June 16.
