News 24 Sports quoted Ganguly as saying, Rishabh Pant will definitely play in the next edition of the IPL. He is not practicing at the moment, but has been discussed in the auction ahead of IPL 2024. He is the captain of the team and will be seen playing in the next season also. He said, it has been a matter of IPL but the question is when can Pant make a comeback in the Indian team.

Will Pant play World Cup?
Earlier, there were reports that Rishabh Pant may make a comeback in the Indian team during the South Africa series in December. However, it is not yet clear when he will return to India. But it is clear that if Pant is fit for IPL, he can also play in T20 World Cup 2024. The World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States and West Indies in June.

An official update from the team management or BCCI on Pant’s return is awaited. Pant is currently in Kolkata where he is preparing to make a comeback under the supervision of Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting. He played his last international match in the Test series against Bangladesh in December last year.
