We missed Naseem Shah a lot…Mickey Arthur expressed concern over Pakistan’s exit from the World Cup

Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur has given a big reaction after being ruled out of the 2023 World Cup. He admitted that Pakistan did not play well in this World Cup and hence they had to face defeat. Mickey Arthur also said that his team was missing fast bowler Naseem Shah.

Pakistan team could not make it to the semi-finals of the 2023 World Cup. They have won five matches and lost four. To qualify for the semi-finals, Pakistan needed to defeat England by a huge margin in their previous league match, but they could not do so. There is a lot of criticism after this poor performance of the team.

We have to raise our game – Mickey Arthur

After the match against England, Pakistan team director Mickey Arthur gave a statement about the team’s disappointing performance. They said,

I don’t think we played our best game here. I think the four best teams of the tournament are playing the semi-finals at the moment. We kept trying to give our best. We need to take our game to a different level. I think we were missing Naseem Shah in bowling. As far as batting is concerned, we need to score 330-350 runs consistently. The teams which have scored these runs continuously have reached the semi-finals but we could not do so. We did this when Fakhar Zaman came but we cannot depend on just one player.

Let us tell you that Pakistan also lost to England in their last league match and with this their journey in the World Cup ended.
