ODI World Cup 2023 AUS vs PAK: Australia’s left-handed opening batsman David Warner is now in excellent form in the ODI World Cup 2023. Warner played a match-winning innings against Pakistan. Warner scored 163 runs in 124 balls. With this, Warner has become the first player to score more than 150 innings in three consecutive ODI World Cups. Warner has now credited the Indian Premier League (IPL) for his long innings and success in ODIs.

Warner believes he has become more adept at accelerating his innings and credits his time in the IPL for helping him improve that part of his game. “I think in T20 cricket, I have learned a little bit to change my gears, especially in the IPL. When I was playing for Sunrisers, I learned a lot that you get a lot more time than you think. And I think especially playing on these pitches, you know, if you give yourself time at the end, you can score really big scores. And that’s what I felt today.”

Warner and Marsh made a partnership of 259 runs for the first wicket against Pakistan. David Warner and Mitchell Marsh both scored centuries. Warner scored 163 runs while Marsh scored 121 runs in 108 balls. Marsh hit 10 fours and 9 sixes in his innings.

Australia won this match by 62 runs. After losing two consecutive matches in the World Cup 2023, Australia made a good comeback by defeating Pakistan. This was India’s second consecutive win in the tournament. With this victory, Australia has reached top-4 in the points table.
