ICC bans Jarvo from World Cup 2023

ICC bans Jarvo from World Cup 2023: India defeated Australia by 6 wickets in the fourth ODI. A person suddenly jumped onto the field in a packed stadium in Chennai. Many pictures of him standing next to Virat Kohli wearing the Indian jersey went viral.

However, after the ICC imposed the ban, security personnel immediately swung into action and took him away. His name is Daniel Jarvis. It is also known as Jarvo 69. Jarvo was earlier seen disrupting the match during the England-India series as well. Now the International Cricket Council (ICC) has taken a major action against Jarvo. Jarvo has been banned from participating in any match of the ongoing ICC World Cup in India.

He said, “The safety of everyone involved in the ICC World Cup 2023 is our priority. We will work closely with the venue in Chennai to understand what happened. We will consider whether any additional safeguards are needed to prevent this happening again.

“The individual concerned has been banned from participating in any other sport at the event,” the ICC said. The matter is in the hands of Indian authorities. Jarvo had also disrupted the India-England match in the second and fourth Test of the Test series in 2021.

However, after winning this match, Team India is ready to face Afghanistan on October 11. This match will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. After this, the much awaited India-Pakistan match will be played on October 14 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It will be interesting to see the performance of Team India in the stadium full of fans.
